Delay in FIR: Court clears doctor in rape case

A delay of 20 hours in the registration of an FIR after an alleged incident of rape has prompted a Delhi fast-track court to absolve a doctor accused of raping his patient. It said there was “no explanation” why the FIR was registered 20 hours after the incident.
