Delhi: Number of coronavirus cases rises to 6

The number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi rose to six on Thursday, with a 69-year-old woman, mother of a Covid-19 patient, testing positive for the novel coronavirus. Her son, with a history of travel to Japan, Geneva and Italy, had tested positive for the infection on Wednesday.

Delhi shuts down schools, colleges & cinemas

Declaring the spread of Covid-19 as an epidemic, the Delhi government on Thursday announced its decision to shut down all schools and colleges where examinations are not on and cinema halls, as a precautionary measure, till March 31. Announcing this, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said this would prevent coronavirus from spreading. Of the confirmed cases in the country, six have been reported in Delhi.
