Even as food inflation rose to a record 10.01%, the highest in six years, the common man’s household budget suffered another blow on Saturday. India’s leading dairy, Amul, will raise milk prices by Rs 2/litre in several markets, including Mumbai, from Sunday, due to higher costs of cattle feed and labour. This is the second increase this year, with the previous hike in May.
