The state public health department led by NCP’s Rajesh Tope is all set to recommend to the Maharashtra Medical Council that it should suspend the registration of 600 “absconding” medical officers, besides invoking the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, Epidemic Diseases Act and Maharashtra Civil Service Rules.
