In a joint meeting on Wednesday, the BMC chief, civic officials concerned and the police commissioner agreed in principle to implement the policy that would allow restaurants and shops to remain open 24x7 in select places in the city. After the meeting, civic chief Praveen Pardeshi and police commissioner Sanjay Barve went to the Sahyadri guesthouse to brief chief minister Uddhav Thackeray about details of who will take the final decision on the policy.
