Seven months after the suicide of Dr Payal Tadvi due to alleged harassment and casteism, the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) has said it did not find any lapses in the way her faculty heads Dr Yi Ching Ling and Dr S D Shirodkar had handled complaints against her seniors. The commission, though, questioned why both Tadvi’s husband and mother failed to bring her plight to the notice of the anti-ragging committee. It added that its order should not come in the way of any parallel investigation against the doctor duo.
